Sorry can't help with the weather.

I went on holiday with my family about 11 years ago to the Jura - we actually stayed at La Pergola. Remember it was quite nice, green, grassy pitches, lots of Dutch people. The beach by the lake was quite small but picturesque and you could swim in the lake. We stayed in a mobile home so can't comment on the facilities. Sorry - can't remember much else!

In terms of weather, we went in July and it rained. A lot. Although we did have about 4 days of glorious sunshine at the end of the fortnight - it was properly hot. So - mixed bag, in my (limited) experience.

We went to Switzerland for the day (Geneva) - that was pretty cool. Some amazing scenery en route but didn't envy my dad driving on those mountainous, twisty roads!

We went afew years ago  and found it cold at night and it rained most of the days. On a positive note it is a beautiful area and we enjoyed cycling around the lake when it stopped raining!

We Stayed in Jura 2006, lovely area and not too busy even in peak season. Switzerland was an easy day trip. We arrived at the end of a heatwave and stayed for a week near Clairvaux les Lacs - there's a review of the site and area here. The lakes are very blue and excellent for swimming.

The weather broke after the first week and it was wet and gloomy for the last four days. It's an easy drive from Calais / Dunkirk , we fancied somewhere different. Living in Southampton we normally take a western channel crossing and head south.
