Tesco's had a good deal last year for single trips.  Got mine bundled with car insurance this year so I've not checked it out again.

Do you have existing breakdown cover? We have ours with teh AA and got a good deal through that. Alternatively, you can get money off AA/RAC by buying one of their European atlases and quoting the offer code they often include, stuck on front over.

We went with "more than "last year, it has cost us £7 a month, but has covered us at home and when we go to France.

We have the car insured with More Than and More Thans breakdown - it costs very little with them to upgrade to European cover - the house is also with them (and no I am not a loyal insurance buyer, I shop around for every policy every year) as they cover me for working from home and they cover the camping kit when we are abroad.
