Hello,

Has anyone taken a camper van to eastern europe say poland, rumina, and what are the camp sites and travel like is it safe,any tips would be welcome as it appears as i have looked at all posts and cannot find any.

Ive travelled extensively in Eastern Europe,firstly in 1985 when I cycled to Turkey via Hungary (loved lake Balaton emhhh) Rumania and Bulgaria,the latter two were a bit rough back then,red tape and nothing to eat.

In 2000 I returned in the motorhome and while I still can,t find much good to say about Rumania the other 2 were fine.Felt safe and prices were low.

Two favs of mine are Slovenia and Croatia,both are world class destinations with many attractions and a network of good sites.You will feel as safe there as say Spain and there good value.
