Hiya

New to the site, but not new to caravanning & camping.  Although, this year will be our first year of towing to france!

We have booked the following sites and wondered if anyone had stayed there and has any memories/comments!

First of all we are staying at: Camping Champigny Paris Est

and then to: Camping Le Ranch, La Plaine sur Mer

Thanx

Wendy

Been to Camping La Tabardiere in Plein Sur Mer and it was awful, so don't go there. Wasn't very impressed with the area, beaches were packed and very dirty. The whole area seemed very run down! Although Pornic was lovely. But, we were there during the French holidays which would explain the busy beaches.

Thanx for getting rid of my blue face!!!

Apparently the camp site is at Pornic so hopefully it will be ok.  It is recommended by the Caravan Club!

We chose to go the end of July (as soon as the schools break up!) coz someone told me the French take their hols in August so it is always really really busy then.

Make sure you don't drive through Pornic town centre on your way to the campsite as it consists of very narrow road and low bridges. Lovely beach/rock pool area next to Pornic (sorry- can't remember the name)- lovely if you have children, lots of star-fish, oyster, etc. Pick shellfish and take them home to cook. Lovely Super-U (??) supermarket just outside Pornic with a fabulous fresh fish and 'ready-cooked' meals section.
