Sorry you wont be making it to france this year. Our old 'beast' (vauxhall frontera) is 11 years old now but we're risking it!  Devon/Cornwall worth exploring tho, sure you'll have a great time.  Noted in a previous reply of yours you mentioned a couple of sites in france that sounded interesting.  We may well be there in August this year, and looking for no frills campsites, that are quiet and shady, (just getting over radiotherapy so no direct sun!) and cheap if poss. You mentioned one in Limousin and one 10k from Bordeaux. Would appreciate any suggestions.  Heading south in a leisurely manner, probably ending up in Le Lavandou/St Clair, our favourite area. However, not in August!
