Going to Germany in June with a terrier for the first time [ with the dog that is].

Anyone recommend any German vets for the re-entry treatment before returning to the UK , please?

Hi Big Dawg. Are you coming back through Alsace. We go to a vet in Guebwiller (Nr Mulhouse). Can get details if you are, very nice man.

Or try pet planet http://www.petplanet.co.uk/travel_int_vets.asp

Have a good holiday

Where abouts in Germany? My niece works at a vets in Dusseldorf it that's any good. She's bi-lingual which may help, she may be able to recommend other places.

hi folks, many thanks , to both of you.

To be honest weather watching, haven't decided yet so no sites booked at all. Maybe  east to the  Dresden area, as I haven,t been that far south in former DDR.

Thanks PigletandTigger , Dusseldorf would be ideal because of the distance to the tunnel on the return leg taking the 24hour>48 hour window for treatment into account. So the details would be appreciated for the Sat-Nav. {wifey dosen't do maps or foreign driving}

Trying to avoid Calais vets . from the stories I've read/heard.

Best Regards to   Janetj and PigletandTigger for their kind replies.

BigDawg

PS: JanetJ , I used to have a Camplet Concord when the UK agent for them was here in N. Ireland , circa 1990.

 Loved it as you could tow at fairly high speed with no fuel penalty, and easily forget it was on behind.

Don't know why I changed to a caravan. Maybe because we got washed out of Cornwall [ camplet took all the weater could throw at it, and still dry inside]

I would have one again tomorrow, { If I was allowed  LOL }
