We are planning to fly to Beauvais and hire a car there to do a spot of camping Have just bought a smaller tent. Obviously butane cannisters for my stove can't go with us. Can I get them there and if not how much is a small stove and where will I get it.          Pansy

Thanks Saxo It'salwaysgood to know these things. I just hope the weather is good as my other half is not too keen on camping in the rain.

The larger supermarkets usually have them in the 'camping' or 'fishing' sections - and even some small village shops stock them, too, particularly if the area is a touristy one with plenty of campers.  You'll also find them in the service areas on some of the autoroutes or main roads, as truckers use them for cooking with.
