If you are taking a trailer or caravan i would make sure that BMW Assistance covers recovery of anything being towed as well as the car. Also ensure that you would be recovered to the UK in the event of the worst happening, like an accident or main driver being taken ill.

We are going to France and will get a green card from our car insurance company.We will also take out family travel insurance.

I don't think our folding camper will be covered with these insurances , but don't really know where to get cover for it whilst abroad.

Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks

We have also cancelled our Green Flag cover for here, they wanted a stupid amount for cover abroad, and gone with Europe Assist which covers us here and abroad for £59 (through moneysavingexpert) also covers us for our folding camper.

We also have holiday insurance through moneysavingexpert too, You never know if anything might happen, medical expenses and all that! Then we have cover for abroad on our folding camper.

Just need to pay the extra for our car insurance and we will be ready to go!

Phew how many insurances do we need!
