I just went on to the Medicover website to apply for insurance and they are no longer trading!

Anyone know any other such insurers?

We asked for a quote for our holiday insurance and quote was £160 very expensive.  We paid £30 and got better cover.

It pays to shop around, would never go on holiday with out insurance you just never know.

My wife has a pre-existing condition , we have annual holiday insurance I purchased through my union.We have used Red Pennent as well. Both companies got her to speak to a medical screening department who then issued a covering letter.

As her condition is  stable and controlled they did'nt charge extra

One year she had had a minor operation, they said they would'nt cover that for 12 months after the op.
