Just getting round to planning route from Calais to Interlaken.  We are thinking about an overnight stop around Nancy or Strasbourg.  Can anyone recommend a campsite that is not too far off the main route where we can put the steadies down for the night?

Any comments would also be appreciated about travelling that far in a day (we are staying overnight in Folkestone and then getting 6.20am Eurotunnel).

Turn off A4 at junc 45 onto N4 to Saverne and follow signs to Colmar. There are municipals at Molsheim and Obernai just off this road. It is a bit of a trek from Calais but you should be on your way by 8am so with a couple of stops it's doable by about teatime.

Thanks for your help.  Decided to have a couple of days in Strasbourg area before heading off to Manor Farm, Interlaken.  Swanseajack - I guess we are in the same area around the same time.  Enjoy!

Metz municipal very good. English spoken. Snack bar and short walk into town. Was well signposted as I remember.
