There is a large busy campsite on the edge of town, follow the signs across the river to the sports complex.
There are campsites all along the river - we stayed at a lovely one between Ellenz and Poltersdorf, had its own bar and restaurant. We looked across the river to Beilstein castle - lovely spot.
We were there for the local weinfest in Poltersdorf in late September - great weekend with lots of free entertainment laid on in the village.
