Hi I am off to the Moselle region in Germany on Monday, one of the places that I intend to stay for a few nights is in the Bernkastel/Kues area.

I know that there is a huge 'Stelplatz' on the Kues side of the river and wondered if anybody has stayed there and if so what was it like and was it quiet.

Many thanks,

karen

Hi

Don't know the one at Kues, but think I may have seen it in passing. If you want somewhere smaller there is a place by the river at Enkirch just a bit further up the river.. That is small, riverside, with hardstanding for wohnmobiles, services, and used to be free. Enkirch is a lovely village, with several more round about. Lovely area. If you go to Enkirch, I think I am right in saying there is a ferry across the river, and a little train which goes up and down the riverside on the opposite bank. Well worth a tripon the train.

 Hi frogman,

Thanks for that, I might give that area a try.

I've just had a look at the weather forcast for the end of the week in that area and suprise, suprise it is going to be wet and chilly, but hey-ho their are a lot of wine festivals at the weekend so I don't suppose that I will notice the weather too much.

Cheers,

Karen
