We stayed at Les Menhirs in Carnac. A Good enough site, but a site up the road called Le Grande Metairie was much better. We visited on our first week and tried to book in for the remaining two weeks but it was full. Great pool, bar, entertainment etc. Great looking pitches too. It's a member of the Castells group which says it all really. check it out. The area (Carnac is fantastic, great beaches etc.)
Try Camping du Quinquis near Pouldu 3 good pools Bar tennis court bike hire and entertainment. Pouldu has sandy coves just like Cornwall We stayed there this year and the toilets were cleaned several times a day, which for my wife is vital! They do have a web site, and if you've not camped abroad before, the owners are english and they will help you with the language. Regards lpp2
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
I can second grand metairie - we stayed there last year and a few years ago. I recommended it to a friend for this year and they were given a pitch too near the entertainment so found it very noisy. We had asked for a quiet pitch and were given just that so worth thinking about just what you want.
Hiya Lizzie Just had a look at La Grande Metaire...fell in love with it......then saw the price OUCH! Going off this years price it works out at nearly 58 euros a night. Does look a wonderful site though......
Camping La Plage, Le Guilvinec, (Yelloh site) south West Brittany. Direct access to beach (for me the most perfect beach in the world!), if you get the right pitch you can get there in under a minute. Pool complex with slides, tennis courts, football area, play areas, great pitches, not too touristy, great places to visit.
My trips there are almost a spiritual experience! Seriously, a fantastic amazing site and location
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
