Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Do you mean ACSI? You can get an ACSI card from www.campingcard.com - you just show the card at sites which are listed in the guide, and then pay the rate for that site - this year sites were either 10, 12, or 14 euros instead of normal site tariffs.
Just to be clear on the ASCI card you do of course buy the book and inside is the card which you can use.
Be aware that you have to use a current card so if you need it for next year you need the 2009 version. We have pre-ordered one from Vicarious Books at £10.50.
Definately worth buying.

First time I ordered the ACSI book/card, I ordered it via their own website. It took absolutely ages for it to arrive, about a month. I enquired after a couple of weeks when I could expect it and was told: 'any time now'. And it still took another fortnight or so after that! Since then I've always ordered it via the link David posted above, Vicarious, and it's always arrived within about 3 or 4 days, great service! Also, from time to time, they publish a discount code, for 5% off. Not a huge amount of course, but in these days of the credit crunch, any saving is worthwhile!
Maybe worth bearing in mind if anybody is off on their travels early January, I would definitely order it via Vicarious, wouldn't trust it to arrive in time otherwise. Only my experience of course, but nevertheless it has put me off.
We're lucky in that our local caravan dealership sells the ACSI book and card - so the cost is less as there's no postage charge. Last year we paid £6.95 instead of £8.50 - this year's book isn't available until late December, but I think we'll wait and see.
The year before last a local dealer to us had them in stock - mind you, when I saw them it was about May and I had long since got mine via Vicarious. Last year I asked them at the beginning of the year, but they didn't think they'd be selling them. And I never did see them there.
I wonder if there is any way of finding out which dealers sell them?
We pass Dickinson's regularly on our way to various other places, so it doesn't involve a special journey. I'll post on here when the new books arrive!
