Hi

We are planning a long trip to France, leaving uk end of March.

Insurance is driving me mad. We need so much of it.  We plan to be away max of 6 months.

I have just found out our direct line car insurance only covers us for 90 days abroad. I have tried one of the compare web sites but you cant say you need longer cover.

Can anyone recomend a good insurer?  Of course we then need breakdown cover, personnal the list goes on.

Please help.

Don't forget your Health Insurance cover as well. The EHIC ( the old E111) does not cover very much and one can have a very nasty shock.

As the others have said SAGA, the Caravan Club, the Camping and Caravan Club and also Insurance Choice can be worth a call. They even cover self-builds
