I'm planning a trip to France and need to check a couple of things...
I planning to buy an EHU for an earlier trip in the UK. Do I need a different one for my subsequent trip to France or do they use the same connections?
I'm also buying a light (to connect to the EHU). This, I assume, will work just fine in France providing I have the right solution to my first question.

Depends alot on what type of sites you plan on using,all singing all dancing sites use to an international clientele have the standard plugs but if you go on quiter sites such as the camping municipals you may need a continental adaptor.If youre travelling around you may aswell get one as there cheap and lite.
Don't forget hi-visibility jackets for the drive down......

Always take an adaptor for French & Spanish sites as some have the ordinary domestic socket rather than the type that takes your blue/white CEE plug. Any UK caravan shop will stock French adaptors £4 or so.

Ask on the Camping and Caravanning Abroad section - apparently you sometimes need something to cope with reverse polarity... not sure what, we don't have one and have survived so far.

Got to disagree there - we've been on quite a few French sites (and some of them quite large and popular with UK customers) where we have had to use the two-pin French to 3 pin Euro adaptor. Brittany and Vendee spring to mind immediately.
Take a short adaptor cable to be sure. We've had to lend our "spare" to UK campers in the past.

I agree, with Feux Verts - there are still a lot of sites all over France where the two pin adaptor is required. They cost very little, and better safe than sorry.
