I normally book our summer holiday independently (contact the sites direct and book a ferry).

I'm thinking this year of perhaps doing it through the Caravan club or Alan Rogers (2 weeks in the Vendee). Has anyone done it this way and does it have any advantages/disadvantages? (is it cheaper?!).

Looking at going out on 25th July for 2 weeks.

Thinking of the Loire Valley now - keep changing my mind but definately going to France!

Best thing to do is the cost the two options. Have booked with the Caravan Club many times.

We have booked Vilanova spain through the CC in July and it was much cheaper than booking direct.

Howevere the CC could not match P & O direct on the Portsmouth Biloa crossing.
