We're going to South of France at end of June and it will be the first time I've flown in 20 years. 10 years ago I had titanium plate and screws inserted in shoulder, do I have to take anything to airport confirming this? We're flying from Bristol to Toulouse.

You will probably set of the detectors - my knee does. I explain this and they use the hand held one arounfd the knee. I'm told that a letter from the doctor would help but I've not had a problem.Been through 6 times so far Italian and France only though. You could learn a few appropriate words to explain what you've had done.
