Have left request regarding ty naden but it is either not a very well known site or really bad and nobody wants to own up to having visited it.
Has anybody any other sites they could recommend for teenage boys. Have been to Perros in Brittany, Raguennes in Brittany, St. Catherines in Loire, Alsace and also Biarritz. Would prefer not to drive too far but am open to suggestions.

Has it got to be France? If not why don't you try Duinrell in Holland - it is only a short drive from the Hook of Holland and should keep the kids amused
Yes the link worked thanks. had a look at but has to be france really. We go with other families and they (like us) seem obsessed with France. Thanks anyway, I will keep looking. We have been with Canvas for last 10 years on and off, but have seen camping life this year. They appear to be alot cheaper - have you heard anything about them?
Last time I went to Holland I went with keycamps (or eurocamp etc). Now we have our own tent I will be looking for independent co. But, to be honest, I have found it works out cheaper to book directly with the campsite and book own ferry. This is what I plan to do next year.
When I went with keycamps it was the first time camping abraod, I felt reassured by the couriers on site and the kids loved the cartidy/frizbee and maps etc that came with the holiday pack. Son is now older and we know what we are doing (I think!!!) so I don't feel the need to pay extra for the 'package service'

Came back from Ty Nadan last Friday, took sons aged 11 and 14 and they thoroughly enjoyed it, plenty to do eg rock climbing, horse riding, canoeing, swimming, boys want to go back next year!!! Hope this helps.
We went on a package with French Freedom and stayed in one of their tents. There were a number of different operators on the site and you can also book direct with the site. There are plenty of pitches for taking your own caravan or tent, either by booking direct with the Site or using caravan club, Eurocamp independent etc. The pitches were of a good size. The activities you had to pay extra for but there are still plenty of other activities that you don't have to pay for, eg swimming, they also hold things like football, badminton, boules, tennis, volleyball tournaments which you don't have to pay for. There is entertainment on in the evenings, it might be karaoke, a group or solo artists. They also had quiz evenings and one evening they had a "Bretagne" evening with local dancers. The activities such as canoeing, horse riding, rock climbing are all different prices but the average cost of a one hour activiity is about 13 euros, the 4 hour canoe trip cost 15 euros each.

Think we may be going there next year!. I am going to look at other operators, we started off in tents 10 years ago but have now moved up to mobile home. Getting old you see.
