Hi all,

We're holidaying in France this year and taking our caravan. Like most, I'm keen to avoid narrow roads on our way from Roscoff to the Dordogne. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good route planner which help us with this?

Another question I have is for locating stop-over sites en route - any thoughts?

Thanks a lot,

Mark

I think that either viamichelin or mappy let you say if you are towing.

Otherwise we prefer an atlas - so much information.

On viaMichelin you can select car and caravan. Look under Route options and preferences.  It also gives you fuel and toll costs. It always directs me round Paris though which is annoying! But so does Autoroute!

Here's a link to stopover sites along the way - all sites within 15 kilometres of the major routes through France.  A great site:  http://users.telenet.be/leo.huybrechts/camp1.htm

Select sites next to the highway, then your country, and then the road numbers.

Hi, yes - we're going to Saint Avit Loisirs. Are you heading that way too?
