There weren't last time I was on Pride of Bilbao and coffees, meals and drinks in the bars were pricey

Not in standard cabins. They do a room service type of thing for just tea and coffee in the mornings.
It will be worth taking a bottle or 2 of soft drinks on board with you to save a few quid.
