Hi, I'm thinking of crossing into North Italy, from Austria to Venice via the Tauern Road Tunnel. Does anyone know if this is an appropriate route towing a caravan?

Towed our 'van down that route last year without any problems.

Coming back though was different - queueing for ages before the tunnel, but think that was due to roadworks.

Been through in either direction and both times very long queues.   No more problem with a caravan than solo cars.
It is being converted from single to twin tunnels hence the road works and delays.
