Hi!
Does your title mean that you are looking for Motorhome Aires, rather than actual campsites? If so, then have a look at the website for Vicarious books, who sell a very useful book, called "All the Aires in France". Website with relevant page HERE We sometimes use the Aires, and have found some really nice ones. Don't confuse them with motorway aires though, they are just service areas on the motorways.
I can't really help you with campsites in the area you are interested in, as I haven't been down that way for a long time, but no doubt someone else can.
As for being a first-timer abroad, have you looked at the useful info at the top of the Camping and Caravanning Abroad section? There are several pages, link HERE
You can also do a Campsite search on this website, there are quite a lot of French sites included.
