Anyone just come back from France? Going on Tuesday to Burgundy and surrounds. What is the weather doing? and is it any better than this. Off this afternoon for the weekend. Supposed to be good on Monday.
PS Ideas for a good night halt on the way from Calais to Reims would be appreciated.

The general french weathersite is: http://www.meteofrance.com/FR/index.jsp
And here is a Dutch page with only weather-links; you must be able to find something here: http://vakantieweer.pagina.nl/
You will even find links for the actual weather in African or Asian countries.
Do keep in mind however that you will find weather forecasts, but that the actual weather depends upon a number of circumstances such as: on wich side of the mountains you are. You maybe dry, while at the other side of the pass it rains and vice versa. I experienced my tent being in the rain all day, and myself walking in the nice sunshine all day, just some 15 minutes driving away from the campsite (In the Massif Central).
my brother is on his way home from the french alps. he has been texting me most days . weather has been , a lot of rain thunder storms etc . not really good. i have been watching the french forcast on the 5day bbc weather forcast on line. the south and south west has been the best on there.
good luck

We have used the municipal at Laon several times on the way to the Alps or Provence. Close to large Carrefour and not far off the autoroute. Laon has one of the earlist Gothic cathedrals in France, well worth the visit.
Come off the A26 at J 13 and follow the N2 around to the east of Laon, and turn right at large roundabout just after the Carrefour on the right
This is the only site as far as I know in this area.
Thanks for all your replies, Just back after weekend in Cambridgeshire, mixed weather, but disaster struck in the form of my friend's back which is still bot better after 5 weeks of agony so we are having to cancel the holiday to France or at least put on hold until later. Really fed up as I got a really good deal on the shuttle with the Caravan Club. Hope I can salvage something from my holiday insurance.
