Hi Johnny,

We have just returned from two weeks at Les Peupliers with almost wall to wall sunshine with temps between 35 and 40 deg !

It is a fantastic area with so much to see and do, helped of course by the fabulous weather.

Ade

Just back from our adventure through France down to Spain and back again - had pouring rain in Navarrenx near Pau on 7/8th August, but coming back up through Mazamet region they'd had 40 degrees each day for ages - absolutely gorgeous area.  Had a good drive up into the mountainy bit by Mazamet courtesy of our satnav taking us half an hour up the mountain in the wrong direction and then back down to Mazamet again, but it was worth it (almost) for the views!  Never done any of this (camping or driving through Europe) before, but did feel a bit like specimens in a zoo with our GB plates!  People overtaking on the motorway staring at us as they went past and the like!!

Hi wakey Wakey.

Why do they stare like that, we even pulled over onto an Aire, just to check that the Thule BackUp Box wasn't about to fall of the back of the car, I just think they thought that Mrs Francais was driving whilst asleep at the wheel, with her being on the drivers side in thier mind, so to speak!.

Andy.

Maybe that's what it is Andy!  Never thought of that - we just gave them a little wave as they went by, and then did the same to any foreign drivers we saw once we got back to blighty!
