We are packing up and going to Germany in our Trigano Olympe trailer tent tomorrow! We are staying in Ashford overnight then getting an early tunnel to Calais. travelling to Epernay for the night and then on to Bad Liebenzell in the Black forest for a week. We are then up to Nuremberg for a few days then Cochem on the Mosel for a couple of days followed by Brugges on the way home. I do hope we cope with the 4 kids and the tent. Can't wait though. If anyone been on similar Journey would love to hear about it!!
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Have a great time We are off on Friday. Up at 4am for our ferry to France and on to the Limousin. We are just staying in the one place apart from a couple of nights in a hotel in Bayeux on the way home as OH wants to see the American Cemetary and the Normandy landing beaches. We also have a hotel booked at Dunkerque for when we land and before our ferry home, so away 18 nights in total. Cant wait, very excited now and Friday cant come soon enough. I hope the sun shines on us all where ever we are heading for.
We took our Trigano Odyssée to the Black Forest this year, among other places. If you haven't been there before, it's as well to know that they have real mountains, with real hairpins and steep bits (especially to the sides of the road) and everything.
If you're not used to it (and I live in the Netherlands these days so I am very unused to it) driving and especially towing are quite tiring.
Very pretty though, if none of your children get chickenpox (not recommended).
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
