heading south west and was wondering which is the best route, i am driving solo with an over night stop at
Chenonceaux then onto St Emilion for a week.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
You don't say where you are starting from. I guess its Calais, so go Boulogne, Abbeville, Rouen, Everuex, Chartres, turn off at Chateau-Renault for Chenonceaux, then Tours, Poitiers, Angouleme, then at end of N10 go Libourne & yer there.

Please don't think I am being picky here and don't take offence, but I thought it worthwhile pointing out the correct spelling for this: EVREUX.
It's just that when you are looking for foreign roadsigns and it's a first time, it could be confusing, as some towns are similar in name. Perhaps it's obvious to us who are "in the know", but to a first-timer it may not be as obvious.
Friends of ours went to France for the first time and I had told them about a Carrefour somewhere, near Calais if I remember rightly (it is a few years ago now). Anyway, when they got there after following my directions, it turned out to be an Auchan, and they thought it was the wrong supermarket! DOH!!
So ever since then, I am VERY careful with things like that.
cant help much with the directions but we are currently staying at Domaine de Barbanne at St Emilion and the site and weather are fantastic. Off to Pyla sur mer tommorrow.
