thank you very much clair and kabbas,,,,we have made up our minds and we are going to use the route you suggested kabbas ,, we were toying with the idea of trying to save some money and avoid the toll roads by using the route through politiers ,,,this is our first time and as we need to be down the cap within two days we have decided to play save and head down on the toll roads ,, we r down there for six weeks so we will have plenty of time to just turn up in places by the sit of our pants and find a site ,, we will be using the two sites you guys have suggested ,, i will be glad when my first time is out the way so i have an understanding of how simple it is to use the municipal sites and can have my own opnion on useing the airs as there seem so varied between i would never used one to i have never had a problem ,, we have retired this year and never caravaned before but we are absolutly loveing it ,, by the way we r staying at rene oltra,,once again thanks so much ,, alan and sharon

Looks an interesting site and location, has anyone tried it yet? Open June 2009 sounds a bit "recent". Near the Parc des Expo is out in the sticks for Bordeaux, but they do say it is good for o/nights. Flash web site, hope the situation on the ground is as good.
One to watch, and feed back will be most useful.

ps To Redroses -- 700 miles in two days is quite a lump, towing, even in France. Not impossible, - but personnallly 250 p.d. is my aim, and then I would break it up. Have fun nonetheless.
