Hi, I have just been reading Wakey wakeys reply to another threads re driving to Spain.

We are hoping to do a Dover Calais crossing in Aug/Sept 2010, driving through France to Spain to St Migual de Salinas (40 miles north of Alicante) to visit my mum for five days, and then drive to Salou. We are hoping to stop a few nights and chuck the tent up, to break up the journey. Does anybody know of any good stops along the way(for 1 night)? We are hoping to end up in Cambrills in Salou. We have stayed there before but in a static and allways wanted to return with our tent.  Advice greatly received.

Deb

Give us an idea of your route first.....but if you want campsites in France along your route there is usually a camping municipal in most towns, signposted & easy to find. In inland Spain campsites are much fewer, plenty in't Cambrills area tho.

Just looking at  Via Michelin it shows the route from Calais after Paris - A10, A71, A75 and on down. We were wondering if anyone has stopped somewhere on their way to Spain that they know to be close to a M-way / town that is perfect for a one night quick stop with showers and somewhere to eat evening meal & breakfast before heading off again . thanks

Millau is nice, plenty to see and do, loads of campsites, it is our regular stop off, can get busy in high season.
