Got a problem, and would appreciate advice. We have previously travelled (car and caravan) Poole-Cherbourg-Poole. Apparently, Brittany Ferries have sold the ferry Barfleur, and as a result we have been directed to the Portsmouth-Caen-Portsmouth route.
Going out, we land around 9:30 pm at Ouistreham, and coming back home, the ferry leaves Ouistreham at 08:30 am.
Looking at what overnight camping may be available, and reading some of the reviews, it seems as though Parc Municipale is best avoided, and Haute Couture sounds a good option. But I have doubts that they would accept arriving after 10:00 pm or leaving between 06:00am and 07:00am for the return ferry.
Are there any alternatives that other caravanners have found satisfactory; safety and security being the prime considerations. Helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.
