I have just recently posted a query about autoroute tolls and am humbled by the speed with which people have replied .The information for me has removed many misgivings and was so freely given.

Sometimes when you've taken the time and trouble to reply, and sometimes spent quite a lot of time in giving detailed information, it is just a little bit sad that you occasionally never even know if the original poster has actually read your reply - let alone taken the trouble to say Thanks.
This site has got to be one of the best places to get well meaning and helpful responses/advice on the subject of caravanning and camping, well done all...

I would also like to echo the thanks to helpful posters on here. I usually check the "members only, your profile" to see that I have read all the relies that have been sent and thank at the end of the series of posts, and to say what the result has been, but that is assuming that the posters will look to see if their help/advice has been taken.
You can also ask for email notifications of replies to a post - to make sure you look at the replies just tick the box outside the bottom left hand corner of the text box you're typing into.
As a new convert, I am both amazed and very grateful for all the free advice and ideas, links and reviews - what a great site! Plus now I can tell my children I can post stuff onto a forum... trying to play catch up on technology you see..

I've also just made my first post and like you've all said it's really fantastic how many people take the trouble to reply. One of the things we enjoy when we are out and about is talking to our fellow campers; swapping recommendations and advice is so helpful. I now see this as one huge 'campsite' where there's always someone willing to point you in the right direction. I am addicted!
