We are travelling from France to Italy via Switzerland in December.

This is a first for us and I wondered if anyone has advice on routes.

Are there any roads to avoid due to snow etc or am I worrying about nothing.

Any advice is welcome.

If your using motorways-just check the weather forcast before you go www.weather.co.uk gives 10 day forecasts-just input nearest large town-the motorways are kept clear of snow but obvously in bad weather they can become blocked--but the Germans & Swiss make every effort to clear them asap--

Our experiences of driving in the Alps over December have always been good as the roads are kept well gritted and clear of snow.
