Hi has anyone stayed at Le Moulin Fort loire and had any problems

the reviews on the uk campsite all seem good but on other sites they talk about problems of theft by organised gangs slashing tents and stealing valuables

Can anyone help

Blimey, stayed there for 1 night about a trillion years ago (well, 1993 to be precise). No gangs then but seem to remember it being a bit cramped.

I've stayed there for a few nights for the last 3 years. No problems at all. There are notices up all over the site about not leaving valuables in tents/on display and not leaving washing esp ladies undies out overnight. The problem with the site is that it is accessible from a path along the side of the Loire so it can't be completely secure. It is a lovely site for a few days - I don't particularly rate the Loire or its wines so longer would be a pain - there is plenty of room on the pitches - we got our 12 man on with no problems. The owners are lovely too
