Hi Nea, I think we'll just miss you arriving. We go the middle 2 weeks of July.
Looking forward to (hopefully) nice weather :)
do you know if we need anything specific that we wouldn't need here in the UK.... i.e. Tent pegs for sandy ground or hard groud etc.... I've read various posts that have said to be ready for that type of thing.

:)

The one thing that we didn't take the first year was a french to English adaptor and we needed it when we hired a fridge.. we only took the usual english to French. Yes the ground has been quite hard previously bit we have always managed with normal pegs. I am sure you will love the site and the surrounding area. The date of the village fete seems to change every year but it is worth going to..

This may be a very obvious thing and I'll look completely silly..... But..... Do you need to have paid for electric hook up to hire a fridge? Or do they perhaps hire them to include electric.....
Go on laugh!!!!

No its not silly... they charge separately for the fridges by the day and separately for the electric... full size kitchen fridge delivered to your plot.. you can either leave it outside your tent or put it in...

You will enjoy guyonairre, we were on la pointe last year and enjoyed the site, take fishing gear if anyone is interested, its lovely sitting down by the small lake on site in the evening.

last year we had hot days, two part cloudy days with short showers but in general it was good, its like a good UK summers day, the evenings will get slightly chilly.

The fridge is delivered to your pitch for you to do as you wish!!!!
