I have a Navigon available from Halfords and have just received an email offering a new upgrade for campervans and caravans. May be worth looking at if you are towing. I have been very pleased with mine.

I'd say don't buy a special caravanning one unless you are completely non-tech and unwilling to learn.(They are more expensive)

You'll get a good deal at Halfords or watch Hot UK Deals (do a search on the website for sat nav (or Google of course) You can set it for Truck Route - that's the same as caravan ones.

You soon learn how they work and they just get better all the time and more user friendly.

Good luck. (and take maps as well - the sat nav sometimes chooses strange routes and you should check )
