Hello. I was thinking of booking at pitch at the above site in Normandy for later this year. I was just reading one of the reviews on this site that says the toilets close between 10pm and 8am. Does anyone know if this is the case? I didn't see anything on their website and did email them but haven't had a reply yet. Thanks.

Your probably better posting this on the camping abroad bit, someone who knows the site will be able to tell you, but have to say I never known any toilets to be shut in the night tho, here or in France?!

Lol your title made me giggle, i thought when i first read it that you ment you were planning to spend the night in them!

Some pub campsites who rely on their public toilets for their guests during open hours do indeed lock up for the night leaving the campers to use their own tempory facilities (Bucket!) until morning. Often these sites will state in their adverts that 'Own sanitation is required' which also means showers are not available on site.

Some sites will lock the main block but leave a couple of toilets open for overnight use. I also encountered a site in France that did lock the toilets overnight but campers were provided with a key.

I can think of a couple of French sites where the showers were locked for the night, in both cases we didn't know, so missed our evening shower grrr. Toilets were open though. And another couple of sites where you had a code for the facilities door, day and night.
