we're travelling to Challans in August & have sent 2 emails to Camping De Sainte Claire (Normandy) where we plan to stop off going & comming home - havn't heard back from them should we be booking or do we just turn up - never done this before!

I don't think the campsite you mention takes bookings. We have overnight stopped there just about every yr for yrs. It gets busy but campers are still arriving at 9pm & getting pitched up no probs.

They do take bookings, we booked last year. We forgot to book for the way back and phoned them .. no probs.
