Hi All

Thinking of staying at kawan village Le Bois Vert near Parthenay. Anyone stayed here or on a site near here or visited Parthenay. Whats the area like is there a lot to see and do.

Thanks

John

Hello

We stay here http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=5283

It is less than 10 miles from Parthenay at Airvault and very popular with the British.  It is expensive in high season but it accepts ACSI cards from 1st September.   The area is quite flat and not touristy but sayiing that the prices in the area are excellent and you can have 3-5 course lunches for around 12 -13 Euros.  Puy de Fou is a must even for adults and La Rochelle and the Marais or "Venise Vert is close by.  There is also a wonderful Japanese Garden to visit and the excellent zoo at Doue la Fontaine.

If you are interested I can give you more info but it is all on Courte Vallee's website above.   The owners of the campsite are British and the atmosphere on site is great.
