Hi

Where abouts are the Castels Premium pitches at Les Gorge Chandon ?

We're booked to go to Les Gorge Chandon in a weeks time and we've booked a Castels Premium pitch. It's reference is B32

I was reading the website and it said to let then know where abouts you'd like to pitch so I emailed them and asked to be pitched near the childrens play area as we have two children and so would like to be able to let them play on the play area without having to walk miles to and from our tent. They emailed back to say that they're not near the play area.

They have offered to move us onto a standard pitch and hire a fridge but reading one of the reviews the Castels pitches sound fantastic.

I've attached a link to their campsite plan can anyone tell me where they are on this plan ? http://www.gorgesduchambon.fr/en/

Thanks

Jenny

Hi Jenny

We stayed there for a couple of nights a three years ago, but I'm afraid we've thrown out the site plan so can't answer the question.

Most of the pitches are of a decent size, and the part of the site that is nearest the play area is fairly open.

I would just try to turn up promptly on the day and see what you like and negotiate a different pitch if that suits you best.

Have a great time.

We stayed here last year (and are going again on the 16th August). I only recall seeing a couple of the Castels pitches. There didnt seem to be a collection of them in one area. We were (& are again) on pitch B25 and there were none near us then so they may have altered things. I think there was one roughly near the top blue caravan on the lower circle and one between the two circles on the plan. The site isnt huge so wherever you are shouldnt be too far away, but I dont recall many pitches overlooking the play area.

Fantastic site and you will like it if you appreciate peace and quiet.

Hi

Thankyou both. I think we'll stick with the Castels pitch because as you say the site isn't that big.

I'll see you there David, we arrive on Monday 16th as well.

Thanks

Jenny

B32 is I think overlooking the valley and forest.  It's a lovely part of the site to be in, close to the mini golf and a tennis court.  The playground isn't too far away.  Have a good holiday.
