My 7 year old son and I are looking to go camping in the Netherlands, Easter 2011, for 1 week. Have found what looks like a great site, Camping Duinrell. Only problem is, that it doesn't open until the last weekend of the school holidays, on the 22nd April. We need somewhere similar to Duinrell, but which is open the week before, Sunday 17th April, or earlier. It needs to be child friendly with play parks and an indoor swimming pool complex! Any advice would be gratefully received.
Many thanks, Graham.

Try Koningshof at Rijnsburg. Not as big as duinrell, but we've been early April for the last 3 years and find it very nice. Nice indoor pool with good size swimming area and then a paddling depth play section for kids with slides and water play games. Huge play area and also a separate toddler play area. Good value take away and a restaurant/bar.
Only half hour drive to the Park and Ride at Sloterdijk for Amsterdam and a ten minute drive to the lovely beaches at Katwijk and Noordwijk, both of which we've been to at Easter!
According to Keycamp and Eurocamp Duinrell is basically open all year round - have you contacted the site directly to check opening dates for next year as Easter is so late!
(Our school holidays in East Yorkshire start on 15th for two weeks and a day for May bank holiday so don't go back till 3rd May - Easter is actually weekend of 22nd so may be worth checking school holidays too)
i agree with Ruth, we went last year at Easter, we sailed on the 29th March and the site had opened the day before ( i think), really great site and loads of things for the kids to do.

Dunreill the campsite, actually opens all winter and even has ski weekends when they use artifical snow on sand dunes! in winter. It may be that some of the extras, like the theme park, are not open at that time.
