Hi this site is on our shortlist for next year. If anyone has been can you tell us if it is within walking distance of a town/village as we like to go for a walk in the evenings. And would there be enought going on for 2 16 year old girls.
Thanks

Nice site, but we went in June about 2008. It was quiet, but no doubt in season it will liven up. We walked to catch the boat into town, and there was touristy stuff going on on the lakeside. There is a sister site next door, if I remember correctly, so two lots of possible entertainment available to you. Look on the ACSI site for site location and map, then zoom in for more detail on what's close by- well, it was ACSI when we went.
Hi, stayed at Europa for 11 nights this August. I have a 17 year old daughter and 12 year old son. St Jorioz (sp) is the nearest town, about a 10-15 min walk along cycle path which passes the rear of the site, plus also partly along the main road. St J is OK but its not your typical french village type place that I suspect you're after, there is another village, Dungt (sp) in the other direction, smaller but again not much there. Annecy is beautiful though, and is about 10km north of Europa, very touristy but a lovely place to have a meal at night. You will need to drive there though.
The site has a standard pool plus a separate pool complex (although they are side by side), the complex has slides which are good. The site has a resturant, and also bakery for morning bread. There is a kids club thing that has activities for various ages inlcuding a music night/disco but I suspect 16 yrs olds would think it was a bit young/naff for them, there are two table tennis tables and a football court, oh and bike hire if you don't take your own. There is also wifi but a charge applies.
We used the pools but not much, we preferred the lake which was fantastic.
Its a great area, depends what you're after though. I appreciate your position with 2 16 year olds!!! arrrrggghh, having a 17 year old myself, but she made a few friends and enjoyed it more than I thought she would (she didn't want to go at all to start with).
