Hi.

This is my very first post, so please excuse any posting errors!

We are planning a trip to Siblu - La Reserve staying in our large Kampa Tenby 10 tent. I would appreciate any/all advice on Siblu La Reserve, or any other Siblu site.

1) Has anyone had experience of taking a large tent to a Siblu site?

2) Will our tent (7.7m x 6.0m) fit on a Siblu pitch?

Please give as much advise as possible.....warts and all!

Thanks :-)

Welcome to UKCS. I've went to La Reserve several years ago - great lake and beach - but never with a tent. However at the time I did have a big Twin Axle Caravan that was over 8m long and I suppose about 5m wide by tyhe time the awning was added. I fitted on the pitch OK and had room for a gazebo and pup tent.

Hope this helps.

The touring pitches are in a woodland area near the beach. I would say that they are not suitable for big tents. The site is great if you are staying in a mobile home, but I would not take any sort of tent there.
The pitches are sandy and full of roots and broken by trees. This is not the typical hedge divided French site.
I was there in June this year.

I left there 10 days ago. I was in a van, but my impression was the same as the poster above. The pitches were in a wooded area and didn't look huge, however there were some reasonably sized tents there. If we did ever take a tent there I'd call before booking to make sure. The entire area is drained land so yes, the soil is very sandy.

I liked La Reserve tho, I couldn't fault the park itself. Pool and bar area was well kept. Lots of Life guards on duty, and they were paying attention! Staff professional and friendly.

We were at La Reserve last year in a touring caravan and the tent area looked pretty shabby and cramped, having been a 'tenter' I would not have been happy there. There don't appear to be individual pitches for the tents, just an area you put them in. La Reserve is an enormous site...like a small town, but mostly geared towards statics/chalets. Good place if you like noise and bustle etc. but not our cup of tea as they say

Thanks to all the above folks, who took time to advise me on La Reserve.
