According to Eurotunnel's customer services, prices and booking for next July/August will be available "at the end of next week", so 1st October or thereabouts.

Markfree, have you changed your vouchers up into Eurotunnel tokens yet? If not, you have to do that, and when you get them you get a sheet of paper with detailed instructions about how to book your crossings. Basically you have to ring a special phone number, make the booking and tell them how much value the vouchers you have are. you can pay any surplus by card. You then give them a few of the serial numbers of the vouchers, and then you have 5 days to get the vouchers to them with the form that you get with the vouchers. They recommend special delivery.
Once they get the vouchers they email you your e-tickets, that you print off. They have a code that you use to check in.

How much should I change into Eurotunnel tokens first? I don't know how much the crossing is yet and would not want to use up too many Tesco Vouchers that then can't be used for other things.

Mark.
Well, I know that for us, going out and back at peak times of the day towing a trailer or van is going to be £138 each way, or thereabouts. The prices will be pretty similar to those for June, so just have a play around with the dates you can currently see on the site. I was happy to just change my vouchers up in advance as we only use our Tesco vouchers for the tunnel, and I know the prices now!
Yo can always wait until the prices go live, then order your vouchers, wait the five days for Tesco to send them then ring and book your tickets. They aren't going to sell out in a few weeks and the prices won't change in that time either.

Thanks very much for that. It reads on the Clubcard site like you give the Tesco voucher numbers over the phone when booking. I guess not then.

You DO have to give them the serial numbers of one of two of the vouchers, to prove you have them when you book, but you have to physically post them to Tesco too.
So for car/caravan one is going to need at least £50 worth of Tesco vouchers. This is only good for those who know their exact dates when they book. If you book & then need to amend nearer the time you will be charged the extra for the fare at time of amendment so you could end up paying another £60 or more if you amend both crossings.
So could be an idea to wait for the caravan show offer code from Norfolkline & see how much that will be & if they still allow free amendments.

I've amended our crossings previously and never had to pay extra, probably because we are already planning peak time/day and the prices don't go any higher on those crossings, irrespective of how late it gets. If you are planning on a cheaper time and then want to amend to a more expensive one, then you may well have to pay the extra.
I keep having a look for ferry prices on the Caravan Club - usually they are pretty 'hot off the press' with prices, and they do offer a price for Eurotunnel when we want to travel in May/June, which is currently £253.00 return. The P and O prices are also available, and are currently £112.00 through the Caravan Club, and about £90.00 with Norfolk Lines.
I haven't actually tried to 'book' any of these crossings - nor have I yet looked on the ferry companies own websites - sometimes that's when you realise that they are only dummy quotes - but I didn't think the prices quoted for P and O or Norfolk Lines were too bad anyway.

If you book in November for a July/August crossing then amend, say in May for same times but different days in Jul/Aug you will certainly pay more.

Fair enough, I'll take your word for it, we've obviously just been very lucky then as we have amended our crossings on several occasions long after booking and never had to pay extra.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
