We are thinking of a 3 week trip via Dunkirk to Belgium the Netherlands next June. Does anyone know about the climate there? Is it colder but drier than the UK?
PS we live in Plymouth so quite warm but quite wet here

I have lived in the Netherlands on two separate occasions. The weather during the summer is a bit like Lincolnshire although nearer the Dutch coast it can get a bit breezy due to the flat landscape.
You can have a look at a whole 'history' of weather records here - select the nearest city to where you're planning to be and then click historical records, to look back at weather during the month you want to be on holiday. Each column gives different information, but I usually go by the maximum temperature during the day - and how many days of rain/snow/etc!
It's far more reliable than 'I was there in 2008 and it rained for a fortnight' or 'We were there during the heatwave of 2007 and it was too hot to go out'.

Weather in Holland is same as UK, apart from that Holland is a good place for holiday, plenty of campsites & most Dutch speak good English. Traffic can be heavy tho, its a crowded country.
I lived in the Netherlands for a couple of years and the weather was much the same as the UK. We used to say that the best weather forecast was to watch what the female cyclists wore, as they tended to dress appropriate to the weather!!
Surprizingly, the winter was a lot colder than I expected - but that's not going to worry you.
I recommend Belgium - I think it's a bit neglected by people who think that France is the only country in Europe. I might go there myself next year, but it's FAR too soon to make plans. I haven't even thought about Xmas yet.

I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.

Although the weather is similar to the UK (the Dutch blame us for the rain) it often feels colder due to the almost constant breeze that can turn into quite a strong wind. You need a fleece or windcheater on all but the hottest days but June is meant to be the warmest month of the year so it won't be too bad.
weather is influenced by continental trends so tends to be both hotter and colder than UK in its extremes - but less so than Germany
has a distinct wet season - and is [obviously] windy along the coast - and also because it is flat for the most part there is little in the way of natural wind breaks
