We are going to Annecy on the 12th June and are hoping for good weather.  We are going with camping cheque and have just booked ferry with DFDS (Norfolkline)  and got it for £130.00 incl  3 camping cheques.  Do you have a deisel car?  its much cheaper in france than Uk so would keep your costs down, also camping cheque is just £13.95 a night for a pitch with 2 adults and electric, you dont need to book in June, just turn up and if you dont like it just move on, its a really good scheme as they dont deduct your camping cheques until the day you leave,  we hope to stay in Annecy for about a week then move on possibly South for another week before slowly travelling back up to Dunkirk.  Hope you have a good time and some good weather where ever you go.

We also went to La Baule Southern Brittany early July last year and Dordogne in Sept, both with camping cheque and got great sites and great weather.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

I would suggest you just go and see where you end up. The weather can be stunning in the north if you get lucky. We spent a fortnight in Normandy in June 2009 when temps hit 35 degrees. Another year, we were down near Bordeaux and the rain didn't stop until we gave up and crossed the Spanish border.
