Was in Lidl to-day and they were clearing loads of stuff at silly cheap prices, so picked up a "Next Century 5-Language European Translator model TRA-118" had to be bought at just £5 does Dutch-Spanish-French-Italian-English.

Very handy little elecronic gizmo indeed, just put a word in and it gives you the direct translation, along with numerous related situation, it's just text no audio, but for a fiver you can't not get one.

Also got me a paper shredder again a fiver, along with a UK AA Road Atlas for 50p!, ok it is the 2009 edition but still a bargain.

Only went in to get a 300gm Jar of Nescafe Original Coffee for £3.79 and ended up spending £14.29 lol.

 I'm sure that's how those places keep going - entice you to buy stuff you didn't really want.

I know you say it 'only' cost £5 but do that every time you go anywhere and the amount will soon add up. It isn't a bargain if you don't need it. (You can tell I'm male - this is the same argument I have with my wife every time she comes back from a shopping trip with another pair of shoes ).

Hi Nelmo.
        I only buy stuff that I need, but just don't like paying full retail, I have been after an Electronic translator, for some time now, but did not want to spend £20 on one, also I have been waiting to replace my fire extinguisher since getting back from holiday in July, had I replaced it straight away it would have cost £20, but bideing my time has paid off as I have picked one up from Lidl to-day for £6.99.

So I don't quite agree with your point of view, regards taking advantage of such bargains, I see it as spending my money very wiseley, on things I need.

Edit = forgot to mention.

Also picked up extending wheel brace 17/19mm another Lidl bargain at £2.99!.
