Hi Everyone

Would like to go to France next year have been looking for ferrys and have been quoted £250.00 for a car me and two young children.Have been on speed ferrys web site and been quoted £50.00 but thats only from Dover and dont want to travel that far with two children.Thinking of going late May or early June to Brittany area.Can anyone help me get a cheaper ferry a bit nearer home i live in the somerset area.

From where did  you think you might sail?

im really pleased just booked our ferry portsmouth - le havre £256 return but thats peak season for car & caravan 2 adults & 1 child so you should get it much cheaper in low mid season - booked with camping cheque on line you can also get an all inclusive holiday and buy camping cheques with the ferry that you can use on quite a lot of sites in france dont know if this will help but for peak season we saved over £150........

STILL CANT REALLY UNDERSTAND HOW CAMPING CHEQUES WORK STATES THEY ARE TO BE USED LOW SEASON BUT THE ONLY WAY WE COULD BOOK FERRY WAS TO BOOK IT AND CAMPING CHEQUES WITH CROSSING HOWEVER IT ALLOWED  ME TO ONLY BUY 1 CAMPING CHEQUE - GOOD WEBSITE - CAMPINGCHEQUE.CO.UK GIVES YOU ONLINE QUOTES FOR FERRY & INCLUSIVE DEALS AND YOU CAN VIEW ALL THE CAMPSITES YOU CAN USE THE CHEQUES AT I THINK THERES OVER 500 SITES THROUGHOUT EUROPE....

 As your from Somerset and going to Brittany it might be more convienient to go from Plymouth 

We used camping cheques this year and was very impressed with the service and the cost.

 The main part we liked about them was the fact that you didn't need to book your site but turn up and stay for as many nights as you want to.
