We are looking for a second place to visit after Normandy and the drive to pornic looked ok, no tolls!
Can anyone recommend this area or any sites we would like to be near a village with cycling possibilities on a site with a pool good for a toddler, but not too busy.
Sorry should add looking for camping chq or asci cc site to keep the costs down

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Southern Brittany is lovely, im sorry i dont know anything about camping cheques as we have always been tied to school hols, but i can recommend several really nice sites in that area. Have a look at my profile, they are all on there.

I agree with Warbis, south east Brittany is one of the nicest places weve been to in France, indeed the whole of the southern coast of Brittany is lovely. The south east has the best weather as it catches the atlantic winds which are generally associated with the Vendee and the western coast.
- coming from Normandy too and the drive looks straightforward.
It's not cheap but ticks all ours and I think your boxes. It's toddler friendly but without bars & karaoke. Biggish but not one of these supersites. 2k into village (safe pushchair walk - I asked the owner specifically!) and a 4k cycle path, traffic free to beach.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
