There's no pitches near the entrance so don't worry, the first area is le cricket, then la pointe, then i think the others are behind that.

I seem to remember that we had pitch 158 on la pointe, it was at the top of the field and you are facing south ( I think), the pitches on the R/H side of the field as you drive in get the evening sun, the trees shade the others.

If you have any interest in fishing take a rod, you can fish the pit/lake on site or the resevoir 5 mins walk down a path, take a cloth, gloves for getting the fish off the hook, most we caught were small catfish that have the sharp spikes on their back!!!

Little ones may be interested in the tractor ride that goes around the whole site early morning, you have to walk behind!!! we just waved every morning from the pitch!!!

Free wifi is also available at the bar, great for keeping the teenagers active on facebook!!!

Not sure if I remember that someone said La Tournesol is a new field?

Does anyone have experience of fishing on the Lac de Jaunay?  Do you have to get a permit?  What sort of bait do you use?  Is there a bait supplier nearby?

Le Tournesol is the new field which is sited behind the playing field. I think it is for tents only? So it is near the entrance but not near the road so I can't imagine traffic noise would be a problem at all.

Thanks for that - I actually found a link to a blog by the campsite the other day & it showed the field being 'built' in January so it's quite a nice feeling to think that it's so new!

Does anyone who's been there remember if there's plug sockets in the toilet area?
