Does anyone know of a Petrol station not too far from Dunkirk possibly a supermarket, leclerc or carrefour as its cheaper and what time do they open/close, thanks J x

Depends on the direction you are travelling. If toward Belgium or Lille go off at A16 at J54(first exit after ferryport)into Dunk half a mile to Auchan. open 08.30-22.00 Mon-Sat.
If going toward Calais go straight over A16 from ferryport into Bourbourg a couple of miles & you will see a Carrefour supermkt. open 08.30-19.30 closed lunchtimes open Sunday morn. Both take UK cards 24/7.
There is also a petrol station just before the A16 with supermarket prices. Turn first left at the roundabout with the Kyriad and Campanile on it and there is a petrol station a few hundred yards down on the right. Huge forcourt so fine for caravan access.
How about when coming of the Eurotunnel heading towards Rouen?
Theres a services before you leave tunnel complex but not supermkt prices tho. If you go down A16 toward Boulogne theres a services, expensive fuel. If you want supermkt prices go past services, off at next junction(J36)into Marquise, up to roundabout you will see an Intermarche supermkt in front of you. Also a Carrefour supermkt thru the town, both take UK cards.

Could someone please clarify where the petrol station is off the roundabout in Dunkirk near the hotel roundabout as I can't seem to find it on google maps is it new??? Thanks
Coming from ferry you turn left towards Dunkirk at hotel roundabout. There is a Shell station half mile on right. Last time I looked it was dearer than supermkt tho. Its not 24hrs but daytime its handy if you need fuel straight off ferry.
Thanks for above info, we will be coming off ferry at 1am and following Satnav to Switzerland, so I suppose thats in direction of Lille, will look out for the hypermarket or get OH to look on google earth for it. Hoping deisel will be a lot cheaper than it is here. J x

Personally if you are looking for cheap diesel en-route to Switzerland from Dunquerke I would be looking at even cheaper diesel than France.

Thanks, we will need to put some in, as we will use a full tank from home to Dover but if its cheaper in belgium or Luxembourg we will put in just enough, will google petrol prices and find out. J x
Go to Belgium. Luxembourg will be cheaper but as you are in Belgium 20 mins after getting off the boat at Dunquerke not really worth stopping in France.
Diesel in Luxembourg currently 1.14 euros as opposed to equivelent uk price of 1.62 euros, so will put in a bit at Dunkirk then head off for some of the cheap stuff to get us to our destination. many thanks for all replies. J x
